me working out at eight months pregnant

Hi guys,

Here is a quick sample of some of the exercises I’ve been performing throughout my pregnancy to keep my back, legs and arms strong; and my core and pelvis stable.

Performing structured workouts a few days per week has also helped me to maintain and improve my circulation, nerve health and flexibility.

I hope you find this video entertaining and inspiring.

I LOVE this! I was doing Les Mills Body Pump three times per week before pregnancy, and I’ve continued it throughout. I’m in my 17th week right now, and plan on doing it all the way to my due date! Thanks for the inspiration. I’ll remember your video on the days it feels tough! So far it still feels wonderful! 🙂

    • Awe thank you! And good luck with your pregnancy and workouts! I highly recommend swimming (lengths of front, back, and breast stroke; and flutter board kicks on your front and back) when other forms of cardio become uncomfortable or impossible. (I was running stairs and rollerblading up until my sixth month). Being weightless in the pool feels so good and takes a lot of pressure off of your feet. *Just remember to take breaks and drink water when necessary. I noticed more ‘shortness of breath’ and fatigue during my workouts around six or seven months.

I found this video today of Annika Hodgson, a personal trainer, showing her pregnancy work out. It was totally inspiring to me and is keeping me focused on continuing my body pump classes as far as I can go!
